THIS IS COMPONENT 1 THAT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO EBT PROFICIENCY.The Intox Training Academy has been using an online training module in our courses for the past 15+ years to teach Breath Alcohol Technicians the rules, regulations, and procedures of the U.S. Department of Transportation. This same innovative web-based training module is available to our customers and other Instructors for use in your training programs as well.
This interactive training program allows the BAT student to study the DOT rules and regulations at their own pace and is designed to replace in-class training requirements of Units I-VII of the DOT Model Course. The online module delivers consistent and accurate information about the DOT rules in a styled that engages the trainee. Audio and visual explanations and repetition of the key points help students learn the material, pass the Unit quizzes and the overall Mastery Test.
We developed this online module to offer flexibility for the trainer and the trainee. The self-study nature of the program reduces the preparation time and class time required by both parties, as well as providing a resource to allow the trainee to find answers to questions in the future. In addition, it provides the trainer with a foolproof method of insuring that the student has actually spent the required 6 1/2 hours studying the procedural portion of the BAT Model Course as stated by DOT.
The CBT meets the requirements of the rules and regulations portion of DOT’s qualification training.
PLEASE REMEMBER: this CBT is only one component of the required training. EBT instrument proficiency training is also required for compliance with the training requirements in 49 CFR Part 40.
