Alco-Sensor® IV

The Alco-Sensor IV is an evidential grade handheld breath alcohol tester, providing a simple, accurate and economical method of determining a subject’s breath alcohol concentration with evidential grade accuracy. It is the most widely used breath testing instrument today.

Analytical SystemElectrochemical Sensor (Fuel Cell)Utilizes an Intoximeters electrochemical fuel cell sensor which generates an electrical response that is proportional to the Breath Alcohol Concentration in the provided, fixed volume sample. The fuel sensor is highly selective for alcohol. It does not respond to acetone or other substances found in the human breath after a fifteen minute deprivation period.
