1) What does "Subject Test Disabled" mean?
"It means that either an accuracy check, or a calibration followed by an accuracy check must be performed before further subject testing can occur."

2) What does the "Standard Connect Error" message mean?
The EC/IR is not detecting an appropriate flow of gas from the standard. Check to make sure a gas standard is connected. If you are using a wet standard make sure the head of the simulator is properly attached. If you are using a dry gas standard make sure the tank is not empty.

3) My ECIR will not print, what should I check?
Check to see if the Printer ON LINE light is ON. If not hit the On Line button. Check to make certain the printer door is latched properly. Check to see if there is paper in the printer.

4) Instrument dispalys DATABASE FULL.
Memory is maxed out and no more test data can be stored until the memory is erased. (Some agencies require downloading the test records prior to erasing the data.)

5) Instrument displays "REGULATING TEMP".
One condition that is required prior to testing is that key components are within predefined temperature ranges. If you have the proper password access to the F9 functions you can check the current operating temps of these components and identify which is out of range.

6) Instrument displays "INSUFFICIENT SAMPLE".
"Insufficient sample is a message that occurs if a subject does not provide a consistent breath sample. If the instrument displays this message even when a consistent sample is submitted, contact Intoximeters technical suport for assistance. "

7) Which Mouthpieces can I use with the EC/IR?
Currently manufactured ECIRs are setup to work with the Checktrap Mouthpiece (part# 23-0010-00) or the ASIV/ECIR one way mouthpiece(part# 23-0000-00)
