|Intox Training Academy's workplace training classes are designed to meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol testing program for a Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT), as well as non-regulated company policy programs. Courses also cover testing under other regulatory agencies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S. Coast Guard.|
The U.S. DOT Model Course (49 CFR Part 40) as published by the Office of Drug & Alcohol Policy and Compliance requires breath alcohol technicians (operators or BATs) to be trained according to a specific curriculum. This curriculum is quite thorough and is appropriate for all workplace, maritime and industrial testing scenarios, whether regulated by DOT, NRC, DOE or USCG.
The DOT BAT Training procedures provide an excellent example of an evidential alcohol testing program. Many non-regulated companies have adopted look-alike programs that meet individual state regulations. In some cases, companies will have an attorney or a consultant assist them in the development of their own custom testing program.
In all cases, Intox Training Academy can assist by utilizing our expertise to train your personnel.
