SAMPLING REQUIREMENTS
Sample Error Detection The
software monitored diagnostic system ensures proper battery power,
proper instrument temperature, proper attachment of the mouthpiece,
successful instrument pretest blank, the delivery of a "deep
lung" breath specimen and no detectable RFI before automatically
taking a sample of breath and reporting a result.
Mouthpiece The
disposable one-way check valve mouthpiece is individually wrapped and
can be automatically ejected from the ASIV-XL eliminating the need for
operator contact and reducing the possibility of disease transmission.
(Note: Use only mouthpieces manufactured or approved by
Intoximeters. Using other mouthpieces may cause damage to the
instrument and/or influence the accuracy of test results. Use of
unapproved mouthpieces will void the instrument warranty).
