MEMORY/COMMUNICATIONS

Data StorageStores subject and calibration data with time & date for over 85 subject tests. A unique test number is generated, displayed and recorded for each test.

Display
Four Digit alpha-numeric LED display. This display has excellent viewing characteristics including a wide viewing angle and high visibility under all ambient conditions.

Communications
Data can be uploaded to a PC using the Intoximeters AS-IV Utility software package. This simple to use software allows the downloading of data to a PC and the generation of a wide range of reports on the instrument operation.

Memory
The AS-IV UK can be configured either of two memory modes. The test data can be recorded in memory on a First In First Out (FIFO). Alternatively, once full the memory will prevent further use until the memory has been downloaded to a PC or printer.

Printer
Individual subject tests can be printed out on a printer. Alternatively, all the subject tests can be printed out in a summary format.

THE UNIT
The Alco-Sensor IV - UK is a Home Office approved, automated hand-held breath alcohol-screening instrument. It offers a simple, accurate and cost effective method of determining a subject`s breath alcohol level. It stores data relating to the tests carried out by the operator.

UNIQUE FEATURES
The AS-IV - UK operation is software controlled. Each step of the test cycle is displayed on a bright, easy to read LED display which provides systematic instructions for successful testing. The AS-IV - UK will automatically sample deep lung breath, display the result and store the test result in memory. The instrument has simple, automated calibration.

ANALYTICAL

Sensor and Sampling System
The ElectroChemical fuel cell sensor has a linear response to alcohol. Intoximeters patented analytical system and software provides repeatable, accurate breath alcohol readings under all operating conditions.

Accuracy & Precision
The AS-IV UK meets the Home Office requirements for accuracy of ± 10%. Approved by the US DOT and Canadian RCMP for Evidential use.

Specificity
The Fuel Cell Sensor is specific to alcohol. It does not respond to acetone or other substances, which could be found in a breath sample.

Display Messages - Police use
For Police use, the results of the breath test are clearly shown on the display as.

ZERO - PASS - WARN or FAIL
If the legal limit in the UK is changed the AS-IV UK can easily be factory reprogrammed to operate at the new legal limit.

Display Messages - Industrial use
For industrial use, the instrument is factory programmed to read digitally from 0 to 200µg/100ml.

Test Response TimesThe test result for a ZERO test is available within 5 seconds. A FAIL (>35µg/100ml) test will take 10-15 seconds to give a result.

Operating Temperature Range
The Alco-Sensor IV approved operating range is between 0° to +45°C. It can be used in ambient temperatures down to -5°C.

Calibration
Calibration Checks are recommended every 30 days. The dry gas calibration system used with the Alco-Sensor IV is easy to use and is good for 100's of tests.
